The workshop is one of the main meetings of the Resiliensea project, involving the seven countries of its implementation. The Directorate of Marine Protected Areas (DAMCP) will host the workshop because of the proximity of large quantities of seagrass and the possibility of organizing field trips to underwater areas near the coast.
The main objective of the workshop is to train experts from the countries implementing the project to support its implementation through national teams.
Expected results
- knowledge of seagrass ecosystems is increased
- participants are trained in key areas of seagrass research and assessment (monitoring, assessment of services, mapping, etc.)
- a group of experts on seagrass is established
- basic skills in science communication are acquired
